SO:OK · ANDONG
SO:OK private hanok in AndongToday, there is no need to hurry.
Welcome. This is SO:OK.

A house you might wish to live in.
Yours for a day.

Leave the main street, follow the alley and step through the yellow gate. A small courtyard awaits, with old timber and things we love inside.

Browse the bookshelf. Put on some music. Settle into the sofa and do nothing at all. We hope time at home becomes as much a part of your trip as time out exploring.

The house & courtyard, all yoursOne party each nightOn your own, or together
Turn the pages of a slow day

Fewer plans.
More time for what you love.

What will you remember of your day here?

Through the gate, and almost home.
01 / Late afternoon

At the end of the alley,
a home for the day.

Put down your bags and take a look around the courtyard. Before you unpack, give yourself a moment to unwind.

Only your party uses the house and courtyard. Outside the gate is everyday Andong. Inside is a day of your own.

An evening well spent, doing very little.
02 / An evening at home

Choose the soundtrack
to your evening.

Choose a record, turn on a little lamp and serve your takeaway on a plate you like. Talk at the table, then move to the sofa. That is quite enough of a plan for an evening at SO:OK.

A turntable, records and a Bluetooth speaker are provided. After 9 pm, please keep music and conversation quiet for our neighbours.
No rushing tomorrow morning.
03 / A restful night

A good night's sleep.
A lovely thing to take home.

We make your bed with cotton-filled bedding from Ryu Bok-sun Bedding. Fold away the day's stories and rest easy.

Check-out is at 12 noon.
There is room for a slow morning, too.

Make a coffee.
Find a place to sit.

The courtyard or the table? On a fine day, you might head up to the rooftop. You do not need to go far for a fresh start.

A coffee machine and capsules are provided. The rooftop stairs are steep; please take care.

The little things that make SO:OK

A little of the host,
in the things around you.

A book, a small picture, an object chosen slowly. Discovering these little things is part of staying here.

Find a corner that feels like yours.
Read the stories left behind.
Leave a line of your own.
A small light beside a book.
A song for today.
Bedding prepared with care.
A note from your host

Not just a house to look at.
A home to feel good in.

Even on days without guests, I tidy, clean and sit here, wondering what would make a stay more comfortable.

This is not a newly built hanok. Little by little, I fill it with things we love and things you may need. I hope a day at SO:OK stays with you when you think of Andong.

Warmly, your host at SO:OK
